OK, my newest issue... I got the start inteceptor to work and when I opened webjal I got this error message:

I figured out what I was doing wrong last week. Just do what Xx3bllr3xX says to do on your hosts file, BUT when you save it, type the word host w/ quotes.. like "host" to save it in the correct format.
But keep a copy of the original host file saved on notepad in case you want to revert back to the original. I saved a copy just to be safe.
Then check if the changes were made when you open the host file with notepad. It should have added to the rest of the file:

127.0.0.1 localhost
# NEXTPIMP.COM Loader Interceptor RC1
# DO NOT REMOVE THE FOLLOWING LINE
127.0.0.1 idenupdate.motorola.com


Now you can Load Interceptor on NPMC!!!

Make sure you do not have a Proxy set up in Internet Explorer. This will give you a server error.

I always start the media center first and run the interceptor first and than it tells me its ok to start webjal. Than I open webjal and the stop sign just sits there. This morning the software opened pretty quickly, but the last 5 or 6 times, the stop sign just sits there for at least 1/2 hour. Can someone tell me if there is software to download things to the 710 without being online?

Change the file type to wav you may have to try to connect to the phone a few times but you can put ring tones on the i860 remember you can also put mp3 ring tones on the i860 as well.

ok first off i have everything that it needs to run. the first problem is that it will download then give me a error saying something like the commuications has error. the one phone it keeps saying the phone is busy...the host is what it is suppose to be so now i'm in a complete lost and well not very happy at this point...could someone please tell me what i'm doing wrong since these programs do not come with instructions at all.

npmc opens fine i put my song in to convert,select the time and the length,no problem..when i convert it it says please specify mp3 or wav file before attempting conversion. my songs are in winamp. also when i try to select the out i cant type anything to name it,and if i choose browse and try to select folder to go to and it wont let me.

i know its something simple im sure to fix,i cant seem to find it in the search option. i had this on my computer before and had no problems,seems not now that i have reformatted my pc.

You meant that you wanted to upload ringtones/wallpapers to the site and you couldn't becuase of your number of posts. That's the rule of nextpimp. You need to have at least 10 posts before you can upload ringtones/wallpapers to NextPimp. I think that the admins want people to be active in NextPimp so they can be able to do a lot of things before they just sign up and get the ringtones/wallpapers and WebJal from them.

I don't think that the NPMC will allow you to make ringtones longer than 30 seconds for now. It's not hard to get the NPMC unless you didn't search or contacted an admin about your payment or something similar. Oh, and your post was kinda off-topic, not that much way off...

You need to purchase the Premium Membership again. And it won't load onto your other computer because it has your original computer's registration key encoded into it. So it locks itself when its trying to be loaded onto another computer.

Choose Custom

there you will find the updates that are not standard including .net1.1 and 2.0 install all updates you might not need them but they do not hurt you.

Restart your PC and install NextPimp Media center
Media center should open and you should be able to start the interceptor with no errors.

I did the above and it works great.

ok guys if your haveing problems with the NPMC try this go to microsoft.com and download .NET FRAMEWORK 1.1... if youo were getting the same error as myself the app would fail to anilize.....

i downloaded the media center, but when i click to open the application
i get the folowing box message:

then i click run, and it opens a new window with nextpimp media center BETA RC2.1 set up, i click next from the first step, then i agree in the license agreement and then i get another little window giving me another error which says:

Error opening file for writting:
"C:/Program files/mediacenter/mediacenter.exe"
Hit abort to abort installation,
retry writing the file, or ignore to skip this file

Sorry, the application was designed for XP. No one is sure of its functionality on vista.

Vista users should beware in the first place, because damn near nothing works with Windows Vista at the moment.
