Where do I find the host file on win 98?

I need to paste 127.0.0.1 idenupdate.motorola.com
where do I paste it?

I try to go there and there is no etc folder

ok I found the host file....how do I open it. What do I use to open it?

it says that it is too big for notepad to open. it asks if I want to use wordpad instead and it comes up as jibberish
