I downloaded your USB driver. It seems to install properly. But when I click on preferences in Webjal. And click connect by USB, I get a message that there is no iden driver for this device. What could be the problem?

Windows 98
net 1.1
12.0.0.1 Idenupdate.motorola.com
Error: There is no iden driver for this device.

Did you restart your machine after you loaded the new driver???
You did plug in the usb cable into a usb port right???
if yes to both of these questions, post back and we'll try to figure something else out

This is how you set up.
Disconnect your phone from the USB wire.
Run this application and follow the steps
at the end, it'll inform you to re-connect the phone.
Once you do that, just wait
Windows now pops up with New Hardware Found. Let it automatically search.
Now its found Motorola iDEN USB Modem.

Now when you start webjal, and you click Connect to phone, another "New hardware found" will pop up. Motorola P2k1 Device. Let it automatically search, and it'll install also.
Now restart the PC, and leave phone connected.
Now run webjal, and connect to phone.
Works perfect

i followed all the trouble shooting steps but when i restart my computer after doing everything the found new harware wizzard doesnt come up and i still get the message that my usb device has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it. i went to my modems and the mtorola modem was not showing up. when i click the add tab in modems to try and install it myself, i can pick the motorola modem but when it says choose a port to install it on, no ports show up and i cant get past that step. any suggestions?
