I've converted several audio files to wav format (8khz, 8bit, mono) and I still cannot get them to load on my i730. Do you have to use the Media Center program in order to get ringtones in the right format or will any audio converter work? If so, any guess as to why my ringtone still will not load?

well you can use an audio convertor, but your best bet is to use the NPMC, which converts it "properly" to the correct format
