I hear a slight hissing sound when previewing through Media Center. When I listen to the same song using Windows Media Player the hissing isn't there. This is happening on all the mp3's I have tried. I also tried creating the WAV file from NPMC and the hissing sound was still there. Any ideas?
I checked my audio setting and I had the microphone selected as input device for recording. I changed that to WAV. (The only other options are CD player or line in) I still have the hissing sound after these changes.
