It goes through the whole process of downloading to my phone then it says an general communication error occured while trying to communicate with phone. Please verify your connections between phone and pc as well as your preference settings. In addition you should set your baud a 19200. I did all of these and i still get the error message.
Please help, thanks in advance

Hey guys i had the same exact problem the problem is that your not correctly formating the songs use dbpower from download.com to covert them, if not use the npmc. also dont forget that the WAV tones on this site dont have to be coverted. just use the webjal. if you then have any wbjal problems you SHOULD contact capaso1 in the forum.
good luck

if you are able to post in this forum, you are able to download the nextpimp media center, which is located:
http://www.nextpimp.com/downloads.html
Winzip is requried because the file is zipped. NPMC properly formats the ringtones into the right settings

I am having the same problem that is mentioned here. I have the dbPower thing and converted to what the specs aay. I am trying to load to a i860. I am even having trouble load songs from this site. I downloaded 2. One loaded into my phone and the other didn't. They were midi files. Does anyone have any ideas. I don't have any problems with wallpapers.

I have had the same problem but it is the other way around I can load .wav files but the midi files end up with that error. I have the proper format for the midi's and baud rate but just can't seem to put them on the phone. Wallpapers load fine also. Any suggestions?? I have the moto i830.

Okay, like everyone else, I have the same issue. I have the nextpimp converter, but the file I want to upload is already a .wav file and the nextpimp converter does not reconize it. So I am unable to convert the file through that program...any ideas?

download audacity. it is a nice program where you can also cut parts of a song out that you do not like. convert the song to 8 bits, 1 channel, and the frequency 8000. also, go to file -preferences, and go to the file formats tab. change the uncompressed export format to WAV (Microsoft 8 bit PCM). now export the song as a wav and use webjal to send it to your phone.

the Nextpimp media center also converts the ringtones into the proper format. . .

When u use dbpoower converter u have to convert the song to wav format. Then edit the song using the "sound recorder". After u have edited the song to your liking and saved it your then going to once again convert the "ringtone" virgin clip of the song. Save it in a folder where u can find it. Should be able to locate and dowload ringtone w/o a problem......

Ok got a hint on my own. Make sure that your frequency is at 8000. If not it will not load. The rate must be 8. All has to be perfect or the dam thing will almost load and then stop. I us dBpower amp to change everthing. Good luck!!!!

Hello All

There are only TWO programs which are needed to make good quality ringtones and transfer then to the I860. Oh and Of course you will need the USB Data Cable.

Adobe Audition 1.5 - This program is oustanding for making ringtones of any length.

WebJal - This program is needed to transfer Ringtones & Wallpaper to the I860.

If anyone obtains both of these programs you will not need to post anymore questions on ringtones.
