Customer Rating: Summary: Need to improve like the rest Comment: Pros:
Cheap, great to have a pen handy in case of an emergency, and the plastic tip is fantastic to use on the Verizon XV6700 screen since it's a hair softer than the Utstar stylus that it came with.
Cons:
For those who actually have the XV6700 (I have two..mine and my wife), whether the XV6700 plastic body was made back in 2005 or in 2007, the silo where the stylus is housed will not hold the stylus in place properly. Some people indicated that the stylus "fits snugly" into the silo. That's an overstatement. The body of the stylus fits extremely loosely in the silo. The only thing that actually fit slightly is the very top tip of the stylus (the cap that hides the pen). This will hold the stylus in the silo so very lightly, but be warned, a bump or a jolt on the phone upside down will dislodge the stylus from the silo.
Overall impression:
The stylus itself is great. The soft tip actually prevent scratches on the screen. Twist the tip off the stylus metal body and you have a small enough pin to fit into the RESET hole for the phone. Technically, the regular tip is small enough to fit into the RESET hole that you don't need to use the smaller tip. The stylus body is small and fit loosely in the silo, but, using the scotch tape, you can make the body a bit fatter, and it will fit nicely into the silo. It feels a bit tacky when you use the stylus, but hey, it's cheap. The pen comes in quite handy, since my wife always ask me a pen to write her checks. This way, she don't have to ask me for the pen every time, since she always carry the phone with her, with a pen built into the stylus.
Customer Rating: Summary: perfect fit - great value Comment: I was unable to find this product at any of the Verizon stores I visited and was delighted to find this 3-pack at a really reasonable price. They fit my 6700 perfectly. I'm delighted.
Customer Rating: Summary: Almost, but not quite right Comment: The stylus arrived as ordered, on time, all that. The problem is that they don't stay in the PDA. They fall out. I've now bought some from a different vendor and they look and work just as well, but they stay in the PDA as they should.
